Fundraising can be fun
We are excited to announce that we have raised thousands of dollars across the world....
As COVID-19 keeps creators indoors, they’re pivoting to livestreams. Here, a few veteran streamers give advice for bringing your own games, music, dance, readings, screenings and more online. As communities around the world head indoors for COVID-19 quarantine, creators are suddenly so far from the fans who sustain their practices—but can get closer to them in new ways. With people at home, on their phones, hungry for human interaction and entertainment, this can be an opportunity to connect with your audience online. That’s probably why we’re seeing so many of our favorite creators devoting more time to livestreams—and why so many Kickstarter veterans, expert community builders, understand that interactivity is the magic ingredient. So as your community faces physical separation, here are some ideas from creators for creators on using livestreams to help people feel closer, communicate collectively, and get to know your creative work: We've been trying to reduce our isolation by live-streaming concerts, interviews, and games and chatting with our fans,” says Laser’s sister and bandmate Aubrey Turner, “it's coincided with the first weeks of our Kickstarter campaign, but that's honestly a coincidence. We just wanted some time to spend with our fans. I encourage people, if they have the emotional and physical space, to use this time to spend time with their communities online. Make art together, communicate, share emotions. This is the kind of connection that's not only a necessary prerequisite for a good crowdfunding campaign; it's also what makes us human.” In the seven livestream videos they’ve hosted on YouTube since lockdown, the pair say they’ve learned to ask for help and adapted their style to include party games, interviews with authors, and all-request concerts after realizing the fun comes from interactions with fans and friends, not just time spent online. "We've reached out to people we normally don't get to interact with, because we're all in the same boat. Who would've thought we'd get to interview the authors who have been inspiring our music, or play party games with our favorite cartoonist, Kate Leth? But it's all happening, and we get to share it with our audience." The Doubleclicks with their favorite cartoonist, Kate Leth So many people are legitimately in need right now, a crowdsourcing project might seem frivolous. But really, it’s not. What you’re doing is needed as an escape from the daily barrage. You just might need to find a new way to get it in front of people. For the past week, I’ve been hosting a daily show on Instagram called Naptime Piano Bar where I bring people in and let them request songs. It’s been a real hit. And by putting myself in the center of it, I have plenty of time to talk about my Kickstarter. By giving people a much needed distraction, you’ll find they want to help you out.”

Serving joy daily @ Bandit From the beginning, our baristas have been paid an above-market wage and given access to health benefits not normally available to hourly workers. Our baristas are mothers, sons, daughters, students, artists and more; their livelihood and their families livelihood depend on their ability to continue to work and serve coffee. Just some of our customers' favorites Even though our cafe doors are closed, we want to continue to roast and distribute our beans to support our barista family and serve our loyal Bandit community. Donate NowThe Leaf Sweater About The Brand Caterina Moro women's clothing brand debuted in 2018. My collections, all made in Italy, combine the aesthetics of the past as seen and reinterpreted in the context of the present. My guiding principles incorporate accurate research of materials, superior craftsmanship, and innovative production processes with a love of color and attention to detail. Long and mini-dresses with soft and sinuous lines fit a dynamic woman throughout her day, bestowing poetic allure without neglecting lightness and comfort. #SPRINGWILLCOMEAGAIN: CATERINA MORO SS 2021 Printed silk dress from Caterina Moro SS 2020 This fundraising aims to finance my next collection, the Spring/Summer 2021. We are living a dramatic moment. As a designer, this is my contribution to go ahead, going beyond the Covid-19 pandemic. I want to go further, thus supporting my project means helping a new start. Sustainability will lead my inspiration. We need to rediscover the power of beauty. Creativity is my way to rise up against the pandemic offering a different point of view. My spring/summer 2021 collection is a tribute to the sun, the air, to life. It will be called S.U.D. (e.g. SOUTH in Italian) meaning not a place in the space, but a warm space in our soul ready to heat the dramatic moment we are in. Nowadays we need to keep the distance, being far one to the other. Imagination is my answer: I will play with fabrics, colors and shapes. The collection is inspired by my holidays in Southern Italy, by the light and colors of my Apulian summers. Summer flowers will inspire prints. I will experiment with pleating techniques and much more. I will prioritize fabrics with low environmental impact. S.U.D. will celebrate the end of the pandemic: we'll be out in the sun, free to dance in the light and to embrace our dearest ones. I'll keep you updated on the development of the project, and I will invite you all to follow via streaming the fashion show in which I'll present the final collection. My SS 2021 will be a small and sustainable collection. Out of respect for the present global situation and for the planet, I will create a small capsule made of a few beautiful and timeless pieces. I will avoid overproduction. The time for the collection I am proposing to finance is far away. Hopefully the pandemic will be just a bad dream. It will remain the memory of respecting the world we are in, though. Printed silk dress from Caterina Moro SS 2020 Preview of SS 2021 floral prints Here you can find my last runway shows. Thanks to your support, the SS 2021 will be the best show ever! Caterina Moro coat on Donna Moderna (March 2020) WHAT I WILL DO WITH THE MONEY RAISED FROM THIS KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN Transparency is of utmost importance to me. Therefore, I want to outline for you what your pledges will be used for: Design: develop of my SS 2021 collection. They will go in pattern making, manufacturing, fabrics and samples. Promotion: lookbook, shooting and runway show. Production: finance the production of the pieces that will ultimately end up with my amazing backers (you!). N.B. The specific purpose of this fundrasing is to support my next collection, whether it will be the spring summer 2021 or the autumn/winter 2021 depending on the end of the pandemic. My greatest concern is me and my team are safe; thus, if it would be impossible to produce my SS 2021, I will use your donation to produce the collection on the next season. Risks and Challenges Like many small businesses and independent startup companies, Caterina Moro is trying to weather the current global pandemic, which has wiped out six months of our hard work, stalled production of the next Fall and Winter collection, and now threatens the brand’s very survival. But I want to go on! I want to create the next collection and turn my new creative ideas into reality. So I ask for your help. I designed and produced four collections that are stocked in stores in Italy and worldwide. My brand was featured in Vogue, L’Officiel, Marie Claire, Elle, and other leading fashion magazines. Now I ask that you join my challenge for the next stage of Caterina Moro’s growth. Thank you for helping me!

Donate NowIntroducing Easy Wash, the washing machine for simple, fast and thorough wash! You keep spending lots of time and money to use laundries and wash your clothes. When you've got no time for laundries, you've got no washing machine, or you need to wash just a couple things, you'll spend a lot of effort on this problem. Washing with Easy Wash takes three steps. First, you need to put your clothes into the drum and fill it with water, then spin the handle. Then you simply switch the handle and switch the device into a spinning mode. And finally, you drain the water and your clothes are clean! Washing with Easy Wash takes only 15 minutes, which I'm sure you'll agree is a lot quicker than going to the laundry. Easy Wash is created not just for a convenient, but a thorough wash as well. Thanks to the special drum geometry and whirlpool, the Easy Wash washes even the most persistent stains. Donate NowSam is at a coffee shop nervously waiting for an old friend--until the entire shop (Barista included) turns against him. An abstract and absurd short film, It's Good to See You explores the caustic nature of anxiety and feeling unwelcome. This project has been in the works for a while now, and we're so excited to make it happen! Your support will allow us to explore mental health in an expressive, powerful and colorful way. Short Summary Hello! I'm Paolo, a recent NYU Tisch graduate and the writer and producer of It's Good to See You. Though I primarily studied acting, I'm passionate about learning the fundamentals of film production and establishing myself as a writer. My friend, collaborator and director Nathaniel Sylvester is just as eager to create--through his production company Strange Eventful History, Nathaniel has written, directed and starred in several fantastic projects. We want to use this project as a way of exploring anxiety and mental illness in an impressionistic, surreal way--to show how we use small talk as a defense mechanism, when deep beneath that is a profound sense of fear and uncertainty. We've been working on this project together for some time now, and we need your help to make it happen! What We Need & What You Get Like most productions, little costs add up! Any amount we raise will go towards location costs, insurance, equipment and other essentials. Our goal is $2500--if we reach that goal (and beyond), we will donate whatever amount leftover to the American Mental Health Association. So, help us make a difference by donating what you can! Furthermore, we plan on submitting this film to several film festivals both large and small--by supporting us, you'll help this film get off the ground and into the festival circuit. Plus, we'll thank you in the credits! The Impact I, along with millions, suffer from anxiety. It doesn't matter where, or when, but when I feel it, I feel the need to understand how it's operating. We want to use this project to explore anxiety and mental health in a very expressive way--to take an environment and turn it against someone to understand how that gets internalized. By creating this piece, we want to de-stigmatize and further develop different perspectives on anxiety and mental health. Risks & Challenges This is my first time producing a short film, so I'm constantly reaching out to other resources for guidance--luckily, I have the skills and experience of Nathaniel, our DP Nick Kalajdzic, and NYU's Stonestreet Studios to help make this project happen the right way. Our crew and creative team are incredible, and I'm happy to be supported by them! Other Ways You Can Help If you can't contribute, that's totally fine! We'd love for you to share this on social media with family and friends and get the word out!
Donate Now200 million stray dogs struggle to survive around the globe every single day. In an attempt to help, I joined forces with volunteers from all over the world, who are nothing less than rescue superheroes. Yet, even superheroes need help. Through their incredible work, this documentary aims to fight the root of the problem - lack of awareness. It presents the issue as well as its solutions, inspiring people to make a difference. Wanna be a dog rescue superhero? Join us by helping those who help! Message From The Director My rescue dog, Leo (aka Lord Leopold) and I, would like to thank you for stopping by and finding out more about our effort to make a difference for strays! Even reading this is a huge step towards our goal of raising awareness and spreading the word. We all have a list of things we're passionate about. On the top of my list are films and dogs. So, making a film about dog rescue just came naturally. I have been making films for a living, while also helping out in shelters for more than a decade, and the results so far have been nothing but rewarding. Several films I've worked on have been awarded in international festivals. While some have been distributed to millions of households around the globe. Yet, looking into the grateful eyes of a rescued dog is worth more than any award in the world! And that is why I want to make this film - to explain how the problem arises, celebrate the incredible work of volunteers out there and inspire more people to make a difference, any way they can: either by looking after their pets more responsibly, or by rescuing, or by supporting those who rescue, or simply by spreading the word (it helps!). No matter who you are, where you come from, or what you do for a living, becoming a superhero for a cause takes nothing more than finding what you believe in and doing what you can to make a difference. I've found my calling, and would like you to come with me on this unforgettable journey. The positive response we’ve had so far has been incredible, and the film has taken on a life of its own, developing into something much larger and more important. Though our digital strategy was only launched a few weeks ago, our project has received a massive reach and has grown more impact than ever imagined, and this is just the beginning! What We Need "Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success." - Henry Ford This has been my passion project for several years, with footage dating from as early as 2014 and with all expenses covered by myself, with the kind generosity of fellow film-makers (who either worked voluntarily or with discounted fees), friends and family. With their help, I have so far filmed extensively with selected volunteers from Cyprus, Romania and the U.K. We are pretty much half-way through filming. But there's much more that needs to be done before the film can be released: Traveling to Florida, U.S.A. to film our featured volunteer and her shelter Traveling to Crete, Greece, to film our feature volunteer and his shelter Proceeding with an assembly edit, to establish any need for additional filming Complementary filming (if required) Post-production: Final editing, color grading, sound design, music scoring, up-scaling etc. Promotion and distribution to festivals (spreading the word as widely as possible is why we do this!) As you can see, completing this film requires that the expenses of traveling, accommodation, filming, insurance, post-production and distribution are covered. And for these, your much appreciated contribution, no matter how small, would make a huge difference towards realizing our goal. What You Get "If you would not be forgotten as soon as you're dead, either write something worth reading, or do something worth writing." - Benjamin Franklin Films have a long-lasting impact, and so do animal welfare causes. This project merges both, and by contributing, your name (or your beloved pet's name and photo) will live on for years on end through the end credits of our widely disseminated film. Additionally, we have put together a wonderful series of perks, as thanks for your valuable contribution and as a reminder of how you've made a difference to the lives of dogs and their rescuers. Go ahead and find out more by checking our individual perks, and watch out for flash sales and limited offers! Ultimately though, the most important gift you get in return for your contribution is knowing that you have made a difference for the two hundred million stray dogs out there. Now, can you picture that many loving puppy eyes smiling at you gratefully? Yup, it's overwhelming, and it's all because of you! The Impact "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela Our project is a social contribution initiative - one that aims to encourage change through positive example and success stories, with a global reach. The inspirational work of featured volunteers from all over the world, sets forth key issues and simple solutions which can really go a long way. Among other, the documentary sheds light on: what it means to volunteer - forever grateful rescuees vs. people taking rescuers for granted responsible pet handling - a pet is for life and deserves a loving home! animal welfare educational programs - shaping people's views and behavior the connection between animal abuse and criminal behavior consumerism and its impact on every living creature's quality of life the importance of comprehensive legislation and of its implementation controlled breeding / reproduction - many strays are thrown-away litter spaying / neutering - it can save lives and keep your pet healthy name-tagging / microchipping - making sure your pets find their way home safely adopt, don't shop! - animals shouldn't be sold! Open your home to a rescued dog instead what to do if you find a stray dog - understanding body language - do you speak dog? no-kill policy - adopt shelter dogs, to give other dogs a second chance in life how one can help the cause - fostering, fundraising, educating, donating Risks & Challenges "To make a film is easy; to make a good film is war; to make a very good film is a miracle." Alejandro González Iñárritu. What we want to make is nothing short of a miracle, and that requires time, money, hard work and tons of patience, commitment and perseverance. But most importantly, it requires skill and passion, and we feel we've got what it takes to make it happen. That means that some of your perks (such as the digital link to the finished film) may take some time to reach you, depending on when the film will be completed. We are estimating that by the end of 2020, we will have reached our goal. As a passion project, this film is all about communicating something important and reconnecting people with each other and with the world around them. What we would like is for the film to reach as wide an audience as possible, whether that means box office success or online dissemination. Films cost a lot to be produced, and sometimes never make any profit - documentaries even less so. There's some truth in the joke "if you want to be a millionaire, all you have to do is be a billionaire who's made a film". But even if this film never makes any profit, this does not affect any of your perks. You can rest assured that the film will be completed and all the perks will be distributed as promised. And, if all goes well (fingers crossed!), 50% of net proceeds will be donated to shelters. Other Ways You Can Help "Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because, unless you believe that the future can be better, it's unlikely you will step up and take responsibility for making it so. [...] The choice is yours" - Noam Chomsky The main goal of this project is to encourage change by raising awareness. Which means that, whether you can donate or not, there are still numerous ways you can join this cause and help us make a difference. First of all, you can get the word out and make some noise about our cause, by sharing a link of this campaign on your social media or via email using Indiegogo's share tools to help us promote the campaign Additionally, feel free to contact us if you would like to: volunteer for our project (media exposure, film-making or other services) send us footage of you and your dogs - it may find its way into our film! share your rescue story with us (we love listening to success stories!) share your opinions and ideas - because "none of us is as smart as all of us" (K. Blanchard) offer your services or donate in-kind (flights, accommodation, post-production etc.) provide us with constructive criticism (it is always very much appreciated!) give us some encouragement (long projects require a lot of stamina) Last but not least, you can become a volunteer for any cause you believe in, and be the change you want to see in the world! Thanks again for taking the time to view our campaign!

Trapped in an expensive hotel the gods begin to murder one another in a bid to get home and air old grievances. GODS AMONG US is a modern and exciting take on ancient mythology set in the present day. Based on Elanor Miller's multi-award winning script we hope to bring new life to legendary characters. The film will be elegant, dark and rich. We need your help to revive the ancient gods on screen. Our vision is to immerse the audience in a thrilling tale of lies and betrayal, hunger and greed. Where everyone is out for themselves, lives will be lost and power will be gained. As lovers of mythology, we were very interested in the concept of blending the ancient pantheons. As huge fans of shows such as NBC's 'HANNIBAL' to make the film gritty and violent, while maintaining an air of elegance, was an easy choice. It is a modern take on the old myths, really, it is the grudge match we've all been waiting for. ‘Gods Among Us’ in an ambitious independent mini-feature based on Elanor Miller's multi-award winning script, looking to highlight the skill, talent and professionalism within the indie film community. It will be a dynamic, diverse and visually stunning film filled with symbolism and imagery. Headed by a female filmmaker the production also seeks to further women in the arts.We need your help, however much you can give, to bring this vibrant story to life. Daniel brings a vast wealth of experience (being a multi-award winning filmmaker in his own right) to Elanor's award-winning script and creative vision. Finding funding for a film like this was never going to be easy. This is an ambitious project that must look extravagant in order to do justice to the larger than life characters. We chose to shoot the promo as proof of concept and as a taster of what the full film could look like with your help. For the film to be in keeping with the high calibre of the promo we must cross Charon's palm with silver.CAPTAINING OUR SHIP DESTINED FOR THE UNDERWORLD...DANIEL ALEXANDER - DIRECTOR & DOPDaniel Alexander is an award-winning Director/Filmmaker and BAFTA Crew member from the UK. WHY A MINI FEATURE?Viewing tastes are changing. Many people prefer to watch television as opposed to full movies because of the time pressures associated with a busy life. GODS AMONG US is a bite-size story that is satisfying and easily digestible, clocking in at around 35 minutes. Never outstaying it's welcome, it is enough to be engaging whilst also keeping the audience wanting more. WHAT WE NEEDOur goal is a mighty one and we know that £20,000 is a Herculean feat, but to truly do the medium of mini-feature as well as the story proud we cannot afford half measures. We are intending to shoot on a Red Gemini camera so as to do justice to the talent and skill of our team. We have a large cast and with 75% of actors earning less than £5000 per year (The Stage) we believe in paying actors and the larger crew for their talents, to allow more people to do what they love. Location is everything for this project, we need the perfect setting to encapsulate the rich atmosphere of the film and that is not cheap. Upon completion, we intend to submit the finished mini-feature to a high calibre of film festivals such as BAFTA, Cannes, and Sundance.WHAT WILL THAT BUY?WHAT WILL I GET?We have tailored our perks to properly thank and reward those kind enough to pledge. You can pledge anything from £1 and you can change your pledge at any time. If you want to get involved pick a perk! You do not have to be in the UK to contribute; although the campaign and the film will take place in and around London you can contribute in any currency. Donate NowWhy this film? Tripping is about a pregnant high schooler who is forced to go on a road trip with her lesbian best friend in order to get an abortion at the nearest women’s health clinic. The idea for Tripping first came to me while watching a feature film about a woman who has to travel out of state to get an abortion. The film was incredibly heavy and depressing. I couldn’t help but think it doesn’t have to be like this. Every film about abortion does not have to be a tragedy. What if traveling due to the lack of women’s health clinics wasn’t a low point in the character’s life, but instead a comedic buddy road trip? This past summer, seeing abortions become harder and harder to access confirmed for me that now is the time to make this film. I’m tired of abortion being a dirty word. While starting to make Tripping, I keep repeating that “it’s important to show the things and say the things.” This film won’t shy away from showing a fetus, from saying the word abortion, from showing queer relationships -- the things your high school health class should have done. That being said, the abortion is just one thing that happens in Tripping. The abortion is the launchpad for an exploration of friendship, romance, and personal growth.Tripping is the final film I will be making at NYU before I graduate. It is a statement on everything I have learned in the past four years and will be the biggest production I have taken on so far. I have gathered an amazing crew, written a script I love, and found the message I want the world to know. I'm ready. How will my donation help?Filmmaking is expensive. We have been able to cut down on major costs through creative thinking but we still need your help. As you can see in our breakdown below, we've been able to totally cut down on location costs. We will be returning to my hometown in Pennsylvania and filming in locations that are not only special to me and historically interesting but also make our film the visually interesting road trip story it is. Your donations will be going towards helping us get cast and crew to Pennsylvania, provide meals, rent extra camera equipment we need for our exterior scenes, buy props, costumes, and set dressings, and even help us finish the film with our unique special effects. We literally can not make this film without your help. Amelia, originally from Philadelphia, is a senior at NYU majoring in Film and TV and minoring in Dramatic Literature. She enjoys assistant directing for short films and TV shows, as well as directing and writing her own projects. Her work often focuses on the LGBTQ community. Amelia has had her work screened at national film festivals and has received a grant through the Pond5 Filmmaker First Award. She also has had her play Kids These Days produced through the Philadelphia Young Playwrights Annual Playwriting Festival. She spends most of her free time as a co-director for Fusion Film Festival, a festival for women in film, TV, and new media.Producer - Jori JohnsonJori Johnson is a writer-producer from the suburbs of Chicago, currently in her Senior year at Tisch School of the Arts. She has worked closely with Amelia within Fusion Film Festival, and served as the producer on her intermediate film. After producing three other intermediate films, a 5 episode web series, and an advanced television pilot, Jori is excited to be working closely with Amelia again. Producer - Ethan Berger Ethan Beger is a sophomore in Tisch. He is a Narberth native who went to high school with Amelia at Friends' Central School. Because of that, he has had the ability to collaborate with Amelia many times spanning high school drama performances or intermediate/advanced films at Tisch. As a filmmaker, Ethan prefers to be on set gripping or a part of the camera unit. For this project, he is taking a step back and trying to learn how a project evolves from a producer's perspective. Jeremy - Director of PhotographyJeremy Liguori is a recent graduate from Tisch film and TV. One of four finalists in his year in the Arri sponsored Tisch Volker Bahnemann award, Jeremy has shot thesis films, music videos, commercial projects, and more. He has worked on a considerable number of productions within NYU as well as outside, in positions ranging from gaffer to DIT to underwater electrician. Production Designer - Saunder Boyle Saunder is a screenwriter, director, and production designer. She has extensive experience in the art department, serving as Production Designer for several intermediate and advanced level NYU productions. Saunder is a frequent collaborator with Amelia, having co-written and Production designed her intermediate short "Witchypoo."Assistant Director - Elizabeth RezendeElizabeth Rezende is a senior at New York University majoring in Film and Television Production with a focus on directing and assistant directing television. These next few months, alongside ADing for Tripping, Elizabeth will also be ADing an Advanced Experimental and directing a pilot for Children’s TelevisionAnimation/Concept Art - Zoey SchillingZoey Schilling is a senior at New York University majoring in Film and Television and minoring in Psychology. She has worked as a 2D animator on various live-action and animation hybrid projects in the past, including student short films and music videos. She’s excited to help expand the visual storytelling of this film through an animated sequence. Social Media Manager - Jillian RocheJillian is a freshman film & TV major at NYU Tisch originally from New Jersey. She is also a member of After School Improv and loves anything in cow print.ChallengesEvery film has it's own unique challenges that we often can't foresee. Our team will be as prepared as possible to face these challenges as they come. That being said, Tripping has the unique challenge of taking on a political subject. While it is still hard for me to digest the fact that having control over your body is a highly politicized statement, the truth is we are making a political film. We're already seeing difficulties arise from this during our pre-production phase. Our team is not scared. We know what we're saying with this film and we are more than ready to take on the challenges that come with it. Other Ways You Can HelpAny size donation means the world to us. That being said, not everyone has extra pocket change to spare, but you can still help us make this project!
Donate NowOverview“Dollars and Sense” was originally presented as “Sense” in a section of John Alban Coughlan’s play, "Of Lives and Leaves" as produced by IncoacT in 1996. After meeting and working with Director Nick Bradshaw, the two have worked tirelessly in order to bring “Dollars and Sense” to life in a new medium, which has brought all of us (and you) here today! For more information about it’s journey from play to screenplay, please visit John’s website. www.johnalbancoughlan.com The Sense Behind the Dollars“Dollars and Sense” is a meditation on parents and children. Freely adapted from a story by Anton Chekhov; a prodigal son returns home and attempts to share his success with an uncomprehending father—a man who measures success and happiness on very different terms. The soup is served, the bread is broken. We’re a group of professional union artists and serious students of film and aiming to take you with us on an emotional journey. We’re making the kind of short film that we want to see more of. And from what we’ve heard, there’s many more just like us who prefer people over procedurals. A modest little film for you to rest inside of a few minutes and have it resonate with you like a moving melody. Play a BIG part in the making of our LITTLE picture!Pre-Production is wrapping up, we’ve began our test shooting process, and we’re starting to build some momentum as you’ll see from the wonderful stills shown in our trailer above. But, our costs will continue to grow as the production size does, and more funds are needed in order for us to complete the film to our best ability. We need your fuel now to keep our determined pace! The money you contribute will be helping us with the following costs: Camera Department: Daily Rentals, SSD Cards to record to, and A LOT of storage space for all of our footage. Sound Department: Our crew includes industry professionals with years of experience and industry standard audio packages in order to keep our sound crystal clear! Payment to our wonderful Cast and Crew!Meals/Snacks for everyone on set, along with the coffee, of course! You’ll be instrumental in helping us down our path towards completion with the stimulating vibes you’ll provide us with! So, please find it in your hearts to bring us to a healthy finish line! We have only a handful of days to finish our Principal Photography Schedule, and we should have a rough edit to start scoring by Early September! Beyond post production, our finished product will be submitted to as many Film Festivals as we can in order to make our way to a world premiere! And that’s just for starters!Only The Beginning...With your help “Dollars and Sense” will act as our FLAGSHIP PROJECT for a an ambitious enterprise providing opportunities for talented young filmmakers. The cost of a film school education can be an overwhelming prospect financially, and there are plenty of skilled young directors out there looking for an opportunity to prove their talents on professionally helmed projects of merit. Therefore, we are aiming to provide talented young filmmakers that very opportunity to express themselves in an economical, non academic environment supported by professional crew members and actors. By helping us with “Dollars and Sense,” you’ll play a big part in fostering a generation of directors interested in making films in sharp contrast to our current cultural trends. We need to see more evocative, emotive film making! “Dollars and Sense” will provide us with a significant tool to represent this goal by helping us to seek future funding for this larger-scale project’s full realization.
