Funds Appeal For Emergency ARTS - Filomena Jack

Story

The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes is establishing an Emergency Arts Fund to support artists during the COVID-19 crisis. Numerous cancelled exhibitions, performances, and in-person opportunities, as well as the closure of galleries and cultural centers have resulted in a total loss of income for many artists in our region. The ARTS Council will use this funding to support a two-pronged approach to directly supporting artists during the COVID-19 crisis: establish a stream of paid online artist opportunities; the continuance of the Emergency Arts Relief Grant that allows for artists with cancelled artistic opportunities to apply for grants of up to $250 during this challenging time. In this video, Artist Member Filomena Jack describes how COVID-19 has impacted her income as an artist and instructor in the Finger Lakes Region of NYS.
